Mignonne, the namesake of this family cottage built in 1915, was a draft mare requisitioned during World War II. She escaped and returned home on her own, and today, she is the soul of this house. This typical red schist longère, fully renovated on a 1,800-square-meter plot, accommodates up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. Bicycles or motorcycles can be stored under carports. The courtyard is private and enclosed. Located just 1 km (a 5-minute walk) from the legendary and enchanting Brocéliande Forest, the cottage welcomes you during its open season. The village of La Saudraie is 4 km from Mauron, where you will find local shops, a medical center, and a pharmacy. You are also close to many tourist sites: Val sans Retour, Château de Comper, and Barenton Fountain. Lac au Duc with its water sports center is 20 km away. The Gulf of Morbihan is about an hour’s drive. Rochefort-en-Terre, the craft town of La Gacilly, and the Nantes-Brest Canal (towpath) are 25 minutes away.
